The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge

A lot of people in today’s society are highly focused on knowledge. Knowledge is power they say; knowledge
rules the world.

Let me first point out that there is nothing wrong with knowledge. Without it we wouldn’t know how certain everyday things work.

If a physician doesn’t posses medical knowledge, the patience will be endangered. If a mechanic doesn’t know how to
assemble the brakes of a car properly, a car accident
would then be inevitable. To posses the right knowledge
is necessary in life. But what happens when we decide to alter the rightknowledge of things because of pride? What happens when we start to think higher of ourself than we ought
to? Confusion will rise and people will fall into transgression. The consequences will be disastrous.

Why does this happen in the first place?

The answer to that is quite simple: Because men want to be
acknowledged by other men. They want to be honored for their achievements and posses a fervent desire to be praised. That’s the reason why many behave in a selfish manner. It doesn’t revolve around helping others anymore, but merely helping oneself.

We can clearly read that in James 4:6; God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the
humble (KJV)

Keep the following phrase in mind: ‘The knowledge of men is deceptive and the proud use it
for their own advantage’.

Selfish Gospel

Unfortunately a lot of those within the church organization – who proclaim
themselves apostles and prophets – are full of their own knowledge. They easily become proud because they are too busy with things like status and titles. For example, go visit a Christian bookstore and see for yourself; book covers with glossy images of men who want you to believe that they have a special anointing. An anointing to explain the Bible to you better than the Bible explains itself. The title of their bestsellers reveal the selfish gospel they teach and try to enforce on the people and the poor in faith:

•7 steps to become ‘successful’
•3 steps to become ‘a better you’
•5 steps to ‘the new you’
•9 steps to ‘unlock your blessings’

These so called apostles, teachers and prophets lure you into buying their ownversion of the Gospel. While doing so, they take scripture out of context and still make merchandise out of you. Becoming rich themselves at the expense of your ignorance. 2 Peter 2:3 And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, andtheir damnation slumbereth not (KJV).

Self Endorsement

These men are going around showing off their knowledge to make an impression. They hover from church to church, go on television and speak on radio talkshows, teaching their own philosophy and promoting their
bestsellers. They are so full of pridethat they endorse and praise their own works.

They’ll say things like: • Buy my book, it will help you; • This book is a blessing; • If you want to grow in this area, buy this book.

But the Bible clearly states about that in Proverbs 27:2 – Let another man praise thee, and not thine own mouth; a stranger, and not thine own lips (KJV).

Do not glory in men

Many believers today rather read books instead of the Bible because their
leaders encourage them to read man-made literature rather than pointing them to the marverlous Word of God. 2 Timothy 2:15: Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth (KJV).We need to read the Bible and study for ourselves. We cannot and must not blindly rely on the knowledge of men. Of course we can learn from each other, of course we can teach one another. That’s why God gave the body of Christ good shepherds and teachers, it’s a Biblical concept. But that they teach must always be in line with Holy Scripture, let there be no mistake about it.

1 Corinthians 3:18-21 Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise. For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness. And again, The Lord knoweth the thoughts of the wise, that they are vain. Therefore let no man glory in men (KJV).

Have you read these verses in 1 Corinthians 3? How obvious does it have to be. God didn’t call us to be wise guys, but He called us to be humble servants in His court. Like the scripture said: We must become fools in order to become wise.When we start to behave proudly, our wisdom becomes worldly and for God that is vain. Our thoughts won’t become nothing but vanity. That’s why in the last part of verse 21 the Bible clearly states: ‘..let no man glory in men’. So, if the Bible Itself tells us that, than why in the world do we still glory in men? Why do we still cling on their ‘theological shallow experiences’?

Ask Of GOD

Don’t get me wrong, I am not saying that reading other books is unsound, what I’m saying is that we need to learn to discern spiritually. Too often we are enchanted by fame and charisma because those people are well known and respected. But I can assure you; that our almighty Heavenly creator of the universe is not impressed by them at all. It amazes me that while the Bible instruct us to seek the knowledge of God, we still pursue the wisdom of men. If we lack knowledge and wisdom; we should go to The Source.

James 1:5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of
God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth
not; and it shall be given him.

This verse doesn’t say; ‘If someone lacks wisdom,let him buy the bestseller of the modern apostle’. It clearly says, let him ask of God.

Spiritual Laziness

One of the reasons why many of are seeking after the wisdom of men is, because they have become spiritually lazy. Many of them don’t pray anymore,
don’t read the Bible on a steady basis and we often don’t do research for them selves .Instead they rely on the knowledge of proud men to guide them. Wonder why so
many christians are being deceived? Wonder why so many are confused and
don’t know what to believe anymore? There is one very important thing you – as
believers in Christ – need to understand: ‘There is no limit in what you can do through Jesus Christ, but there is a limit to
your own knowledge’. Our own
knowledge can never surpass the true an pure knowledge of God, NEVER…

Now thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and spreads everywhere the aroma of his knowledge through us. For we are to God a fragrance of Christ among those who are saved, and among those who perish. To the one we are the aroma of death leading to death, and to the other the aroma of life leading to life. And who is sufficient for these things? For we are not like many, adulterating the word of God. But as sincere men, but as men belonging to God, in the sight of God we speak in Christ.
2 Corinthians 2:14-17

Fear Of The Lord

Proverbs 1:7 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.

The verse above clearly states that the beginning of knowledge is the fear of the Lord. The fear of the Lord will keep us humble. Those who become high-minded do not fear the Lord anymore. This is a very dangerous position to be in, on the edge of the abyss.

God spoke through the prophet Hosea and He told the people of Israel the following:

Pay very close attention! Hosea 4:6-7 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children. As they were increased, so they sinned against me: therefore will I change their glory into shame (KJV). In verse 6 he starts off by saying that the people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Now most will read only this excerpt of scripture and immediately conclude that knowledge is everything. But the problem is that most people don’t continue reading or they ignore the context of what is spoken. When you read the whole passage carefully you will discover that they possessed partial knowledge and that they were missing most of it. But why were they lacking knowledge? When we continue reading, the passage says that they have ‘rejected’ knowledge. Which simply means that they prefer their own knowledge instead of God’s.

Now let’s take a look at verse 7:
This passage explains that many start well, but it’s only when they gain momentum and their knowledge starts growing that they will become bloated. They will fall into transgression, all by rejecting the knowledge of God the father. ‘As they were increased, so they sinned against me:..’.

Wrong Desire

‘This is the challenge many pastors are dealing with
today’. Let me ask you something man of God –
you that has been called to be a humble servant -:
• Why are you seeking to be known;
• Why are you seeking to become famous;
• Why are you seeking to become rich and
powerful;
• Why are you in the pursue of degrees, titles and
advancement;
• Why are you trading in the knowledge of the
truth to make your own version of it;
• Why do you want to become like those false
apostles and prophets;
• Why do you incorporate their – false – teachings
and feed them to your congregation;
Wake up man of God, before you lead the people –
God entrusted you with – astray and bring
destruction on them. Flee for these things,
otherwise God will hold you accountable.

1 Timothy 6:11 But thou, O man of God, flee these
things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith,
love, patience, meekness (KJV).

The question is: Are you a Humble servant or a Man of Pride? These are difficult things to say, but they are
necessary. The reason why we fall for these temptations and why many within the church
organization are not rooted in Christ, is because the pulpit only feeds them candy and sweets. Many of us can not handle to be rebuked anymore, we
have become soft like marshmallows. That’s why
we lack true knowledge. And because we are not fed properly, we fill ourselves with ‘spiritual junk- food’; knowledge of proud men.

It’s Time!

It’s time for believers to start reading their Bible again
and follow scripture which is inspired by the Spirit of
God. Only the Holy Spirit can give you real insight
regarding Gods written righteous Word. No man can. It’s time pastors and leaders stop looking up to world
famous apostles, prophets and theological doctors. Stop
endorsing these men and start preaching the marvelous righteous Word of God like you should. Many in your congregation are still
lost and confused, because you refuse to preach the truth
like it is. Whilst you are trying to imitate and follow these charlatans, the sheep God entrusted you with are
spiritually drowning in their ignorance.

Romans 12:6 states as follow: Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be notwise in your own
conceits (KJV) Let’s go back to the fear of the Lord;
The Beginning Of Knowledge!

Much LoVe, JoY, Peace and Blessings through Jesus Christ, our almighty dear caring Lord, Teacher, Saviour and Redeemer, in who we faithfully abide, trust, believe and abundantly do receive throughout His marvelous righteous Word and truth fulfilling Holy Spirit ✝️🔥👑🙏🕊️
