Depending on how familiar we are with this technology, the answers may well vary, and they all make sense, but in my view, the advantages of the Internet outweigh the disadvantages. Now let’s examine some of the Internet’s negative aspects.     

First, some may argue that the vast amount of information on the Internet can be overwhelming and hinder us to make proper decisions. While this has a point, having more options generally benefíts us. Because when people access more information, it leads to new ideas and businesses. Next, free speech online promotes democracy across the world. This is another positive outcome.     

Another concern is that the Internet may cause addiction and reduce critical thinking. Certainly, it is important to use it properly. But as it is, the abundance of knowledge has improved people’s intelligence. For example, the Internet provides people with affordable educational materials, especially in developing countries where higher education is in short supply.
