James 2:5 Has not God chosen the poor in the world to be rich in faith and to be heirs of the kingdom that He has promised to those who love Him?

Philippians 3:8 …I count all things to be loss in view of the surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them but rubbish in order that I may gain Christ,

Philippians 3:13-14 …but one thing I do, forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, 14 I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.

Psalm 25:16–18 Turn to me and have mercy, for I am alone and in deep distress. 17 My problems go from bad to worse. Oh, save me from them all! 18 Feel my pain and see my trouble.

Psalm 34:17–19 The Lord hears His people when they call to Him for help. He rescues them from all their troubles. 18 The Lord is close to the broken-hearted; He rescues those whose spirits are crushed. 19 The righteous person faces many troubles, but the Lord comes to the rescue each time.

Habakkuk 3:17-18 Though the fig tree should not blossom, and there be no fruit on the vines… 18 Yet I will exult in the Lord, I will rejoice in the God of my salvation.

May you not judge by their past those who have harmed you previously, nor anticipate the future by what has gone before, but let God show the truth of what is now, for even as you are not the same person you once were, so God can work in other hearts, as well, to bring repentance, growth, and maturity. Genesis 44

May you remain faithful in your promises to the Father and committed to the responsibilities He gives you, for He will reward you richly in times to come and in ways you can’t imagine. Just as Jacob’s son, Judah, child of Leah, pledged his life as surety for his brother, Benjamin, child of Rachel, when going to Egypt, and offered himself as slave in place of Benjamin, even so in later times, though all others deserted, the tribe of Benjamin remained with the tribe of Judah. Genesis 44

May you know the comfort of God and the forgiving grace of Jesus Christ once you have humbled yourself, and become mindful of and tender towards others. In that place of mind and attitude of heart you will find, shut off from the world, the loving and welcoming presence of the Spirit, no longer the stern taskmaster or threatening overlord that tested your reaction and tried your heart to show you His work which has been accomplished in your life. Genesis 45

May you realize that God is the Lord and has the right and authority to use the events in your life to His purpose when you claim Him as your God, for then you can forgive others of their words and actions, knowing that it was used for His will to bring you where He has planned, with the abilities you need to do His work, just as Joseph knew, because of his brothers’ rejection, they needed his acceptance. Genesis 45

May you walk gladly in the grace of the Father and the forgiveness of His Son, giving that same grace to others and sharing that same forgiveness with those who trespass, especially with the members of the household of God, all the more so as you see the day of the Lord approaching. Genesis 45

May you recognize that what you have is a gift from God and value what you receive, stewarding it as an expression of your thanks, not consuming it to excess but making frugality the basis of your liberality. Matthew 14

May the compassion of God move your heart when you see the needs of others and cause you to reach out unhesitatingly with what He gives you to meet their needs. Matthew 14

May you recognize that the provision of the Lord, though it appears scanty and poor when viewed from the perspective of the world’s wants, will satisfy every need when you receive it in faith with praise. Matthew 14

May you trust God enough to take steps out of your comfort zone and beyond your understanding when you feel the nudge of the Spirit, bringing what you have to him, though you know it is not enough, but allowing Him to break what you value so it can be multiplied in His blessing. Matthew 14

May you go so far as to ask God to call you into impossible situations, experiencing His miraculous power and deepening the intimacy of your relationship with Him as you trust Him with all your hopes and depend on Him for all you need. Matthew 14

My child, I am changing you. I am doing a work in you that alters your very being. I am transforming you from the inside out.
My work is not always obvious, nor is it immediately visible in many cases. I am working in your nature, recreating you to bear My Name, to show My image, to be My witness, not just in conscious word or deliberate deed, for that can be done by purposeful act of will. My work is in your spirit, in the wellsprings of your being, not within reach of your reason or understanding, so that no one can glory in it.
Understand, My child, that while these changes equip you for eternity and prepare you to live in My presence, these changes also remove your value in the world. No longer can you draw strength from the life you once lived, nor will you have pleasure in the things you once valued.
Do not try to retain that which you once had lest you risk losing that which I have promised to you. Realize that I am removing from you what the world values and building in you that which has eternal value.
Consider the tall, stately trees of the forest. Their sturdiness is used by men to make buildings for commerce and ships for conquest. But the vine cannot be used in this way. It bears refreshing fruit, but can become a downfall if misused.
Even so is your life in Me. Your strength, which is in Me, is of no benefit to the world. Your life, which is from Me, cannot further the goals and purposes of the world. The fruit you bear, though attractive and refreshing to all who partake, can be misunderstood by those who reject Me.
Do not be surprised when others do not find you delightful, or seek out your company, or invite you to join them, for to those who perish you carry the dreadful smell of death and doom. It is only to those in whose spirit I bear witness with yours that you carry the attractive aroma of life.
Know that this is My doing and rejoice in it, yielding and submitting to the work of My spirit within you.

May the Lord arm you for battle when you pursue the spiritual foes He sends you against, overtaking them and refusing to turn back until they are destroyed, crushing them so they can not rise but fall beneath your feet and are trampled in the mire by the strength God has given you and the strategy He leads you in. Psalm 18

May you exalt the Lord, Who is your Rock, and God, Who is your Savior, with praise for avenging you upon His enemies, death, hell, and the grave, and subduing spiritual powers beneath you, saving you from the spiritual wickedness that strives against you, even as He exalts you above the foes who have been defeated and rescues you from violence. Psalm 18

May you praise the Lord among the nations and sing praises to His name, for He gives you great victories and shows unfailing kindness to His anointed. Psalm 18

May God guide you in the way of wisdom and lead you along straight paths, so when you walk, your steps will not be hampered and when you run you will not stumble. Proverbs 4:11-12

May you hold on to godly instruction and not let it go, for if you guard it well, it will be your life. Proverbs 4:13
