Coffee Grinder Cleaning

Linda likes her coffee to be the kind that puts hair on a man’s chest with the result being the roasted beans tend to be very oily. Making her coffee in the morning and cleaning the grinder are my jobs. I don’t understand why this is so because i am a tea drinker, but since she is the Queen of the house and I’m just her lowly servant, I do what she tells me.

After washing the removable parts with hot soapy water the final step is clean the blades. I used to spend a lot of time trying to brush all the bits of coffee loose then vacuum them out. Recently I learned out a product called GRINDZ that coffee shops use to clean their machines. It comes in pellet form similar to coffee beans and it takes just a capful to clean the grinder.

I bought it from Amazon. Since it has been around for over 80 years I decided to go with it rather than rice which some use as a cheaper alternative.

Cleaned the coffee residue right out of the machine. They say to run a handful of beans through the grinder after using the GRINDZ which I did. We’ve been using this Breville grinder to grind the beans for her morning coffee for eight years now and it is still going strong.
