The Monument of Lendvay Márton in Queen Maria Municipal Park of Baia Mare has been created by the sculptor Verő László in the year 1900 and had a turbulent history, being vandalized (1922) and moved several times in the city (1936, 1940), finally ending up forgotten in the park (since 1958). It is the oldest statue of Baia Mare and one can appreciate the ancient style and the wealth of details. Lendvay Márton was a Hungarian actor born in Baia Mare.
