Painting with AI

I don’t have the talent to paint. So I wrote a text and let the AI paint the image corresponding to each paragraph. I used Hotpot.ai, a random choice, and the Japanese style art. Enjoy!

The wintery wind is breathing through the leafless tree branches while a cold aimless snowflake kisses my lips. My inner-mind imagines the symmetric pattern of the snowflake under the microscope while the trickster-like part of my soul questions stridently in the darkness of my mind: Can a snowflake cut the skin of your face while still in its icy form, before becoming a useless amorphous drop of water? Aren’t the snowflakes miniature shuriken thrown by dwarfish ninjas living up in the sky? Why the city is not becoming an enormous blood-bath when it is snowing?

I raise my eyes to the sky – a grayish sky – only to feel several other snowflakes leaving their cold bloodless mark on my face. The snowflakes come from nowhere and go nowhere and I ponder a moment on their usefulness in this world, on their worth. To be born far away in the clouds, from mist and wind, and to be transformed in water on the ground, together with other fellow snowflakes, returning back to the common matter from which you have been born… This is the life-story of a snowflake, its life-circle. After a while, each individual returns back to the undistinguishable matrix, losing completely its story in the noise of others…

But what happens to the snowflakes being born into the night, falling on the ground in complete obscurity, unnoticed by anyone, silently integrating in the general entity called, trivially, snow? How can one find a snowflake inside a thick layer of snow? Captive, trapped, forever mixed with the others, forced to bear a pressure that will eventually break its harmoniously symmetrical shape, the fate of our snowflake is already sealed before even hitting the snow-covered ground. A personal tragedy, a collective drama, everything hidden by the darkness of the long winter night…
